Modern stores support traffic, merchandising and long-term neighborhood relevance.

Cooperative purchasing and shared services improve assortment and operating efficiency.
Maantiede
Village’s store base is concentrated in the U.S. Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, with most locations in New Jersey and New York and smaller footprints in Maryland and Pennsylvania. That concentration makes the business highly dependent on local consumer spending, labor markets, weather and regional competitive conditions. Its operations are also tied to Wakefern’s regional supply, distribution and support infrastructure.
Riskit
Village faces intense supermarket competition, where pricing, promotions and store openings can quickly pressure traffic and margins. Its business is also exposed to regional concentration in the Northeast, dependence on Wakefern, labor union agreements, food safety, cybersecurity and pension obligations.
