Questions from journalists
Is the CEO Barometer an investment recommendation?
No. It describes the tone of CEO communication. It does not forecast share prices or recommend buying or selling anything.
How is the index made?
Each CEO review in a company’s earnings release is read with AI assistance and Clarifo Intelligence on six themes, and the result is put on a 0–100 scale. Quotes are checked word for word against the report. The full explanation is on the How it works page.
When does a new reading come out?
Every reporting period, as companies publish their reports. A period is marked provisional until reporting is complete and final after that.
Can I compare sectors and markets?
Yes. The barometer shows the index by sector and by market, and US scores are adjusted so that markets can be compared.
