Clarifo MCP 1.1 is now live in ChatGPT

Clarifo MCP 1.1 is now available directly in ChatGPT, making it easier to research public companies using verified financial data and original filings. Discover the plugin, compare company financials, search SEC disclosures and explore US and Nordic stocks with source-backed answers.

Clarifo MCP 1.1 is now live in ChatGPT. You can find Clarifo directly in ChatGPT's plugin directory, connect your account and begin researching public companies without manually configuring an MCP server. The result is a more direct route from a financial question to the underlying filing.

Instead of asking an AI model to recall financial figures, you can ask ChatGPT to use Clarifo to retrieve reported company data and source-linked evidence. That includes SEC filings from US-listed companies and annual and interim reports from Nordic listed companies.

Clarifo is easier to discover and start using inside ChatGPT: a dedicated plugin page, ready-made research prompts and a direct path into a conversation. Once connected, the same workflow can move from finding a filing to comparing financials and preparing a visual summary.

What is better in Clarifo MCP 1.1?

The most visible improvement is the experience of getting started. Clarifo now has a dedicated ChatGPT plugin listing, with a Try in chat entry point and examples that show what to ask. Users no longer need to start by finding an MCP endpoint and adding it as a custom connection.

The listing opens with practical tasks: comparing Microsoft, Alphabet and Amazon on revenue, operating margin and free cash flow; checking Apple's supply-chain risk disclosures in its 10-K; and breaking down NVIDIA's quarterly segment revenue. These are the kinds of questions that make financial research useful on the first attempt.

The broader value is the connected workflow. ChatGPT can use Clarifo's research tools to locate the relevant company, retrieve financial statements or filing text, compare reported figures and present an answer with a route back to its source. Clarifo can also produce branded Visual Cards from research results.

How to find and use Clarifo in ChatGPT

  1. Open the Clarifo plugin page. Or open Plugins in ChatGPT's sidebar and search for Clarifo.
  2. Install or connect when prompted. Sign in with your Clarifo account and complete any authorization steps. If Clarifo is already installed, you may see Manage instead.
  3. Select Try in chat. You can also start a new conversation and mention @Clarifo to explicitly use the plugin.
  4. Ask a specific research question. Include a company, metric, reporting period or filing type. Open the cited filing to verify the result.

ChatGPT can also select installed plugins when relevant. The precise buttons and availability may differ by plan, region or workspace; see OpenAI's plugin instructions if the directory or connection option is not visible.

Three useful questions to start with

  • Compare company financials: “Compare revenue, operating margin and free cash flow for Microsoft, Alphabet and Amazon over the last three fiscal years. Show the reporting periods and sources.”
  • Read a filing: “What does Apple's latest 10-K say about supply-chain risk? Cite the relevant sections and link to the filing.”
  • Analyze business segments: “Break down NVIDIA's revenue by reportable segment for the last four quarters. Show the changes and cite the reports.”

You can continue in the same conversation: ask why one company's cash conversion differs from its peers, request a longer trend or turn the findings into a Clarifo-styled Visual Card. The figures should remain anchored to their reported periods and source documents.

What can Clarifo research inside ChatGPT?

Companies and financials. Get company snapshots, pull annual or quarterly income statements, balance sheets and cash flows, compare peers, examine multi-year trends, screen companies on financial criteria and review available valuation metrics.

Filings and disclosures. Search US SEC 10-K, 10-Q and 8-K filings, proxy statements, 13F holdings and Form 4 insider filings. For Nordic listed companies, explore annual and interim reporting and available ESEF financial data. Ask about revenue by segment or geography, risk factors, institutional ownership, insider activity and governance.

Accounting and research outputs. Investigate IFRS and US GAAP reporting questions with references to relevant standards where supported, and turn your own analysis into shareable Visual Cards. Some advanced capabilities depend on your Clarifo plan. See the Clarifo MCP overview for the available research tools.

Why the source trail matters

An AI-written financial answer is only as useful as the data behind it. A comparison can be misleading when companies use different fiscal years, reporting conventions or segment definitions. Clarifo's purpose is to bring original filings and standardized financial data into the conversation, so users can check what the numbers represent.

Ask the question in ChatGPT. Check the answer against the filing.

For US issuers, Clarifo can link back to SEC documents and relevant sections. For Nordic reporting, source references can point to specific report pages where available. That makes the plugin useful not only for investors, but also for analysts, finance teams, auditors and journalists who need a defensible source trail.

Before you start

Clarifo requires an account and is a read-only research service. It covers listed companies rather than private accounts, does not place trades and does not provide investment advice. Its filing-backed data is current to the latest documents ingested, not necessarily to the latest market event. Users should still review citations, reporting dates and assumptions before relying on an analysis.

For more on the connection and its capabilities, see the Clarifo integration guide.

Research US and Nordic public companies with financial figures you can trace back to the original source.
